Kids 5 and Under are FREE GENERAL ADMISSION when accompanied by an adult ticket holder.

Admission to Salute to Veterans World War II Reenactments & Airshows requires purchase of ticket.

Parking pass included with advance ticket purchase. Parking pass at the gate is $5.00 per car for non-ticket holders.

In order to enhance the guest experience the show has limited the number of tickets available and we anticipate tickets will sell out in advance of the event.

There are a limited number of premium seating options that can be purchased while supply lasts.

Active duty, reserve, and retired military members can receive free General Admission. A valid CAC or USID card is required to be presented upon event entry.

4pm – Closing ceremony – Kem Krest 1000 ft wall of flames

ALL CARRY-IN ITEMS AND PERSONS ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH.

 ALL UNATTENDED BAGS AND ITEMS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES.

 CAMERAS MAY BE USED TO MONITOR THE FACILITY.

 NO RV OR TRAILER PARKING ALLOWED.

 GATES OPEN AT 7AM ON SATURDAY MAY 20 AND AT 8AM ON SUNDAY MAY 21. NO ENTRY/RE-ENTRY AFTER 3:00PM.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE: To minimize imposition it is recommended that patrons bring only necessary items on their person and limit the size and contents of carry-in items to those that are essential. Concession stands feature a wide variety of food and beverage options for your enjoyment and convenience.

Responses to Common Questions

RESPONSE TO PREVIOUS QUESTIONS:

*A “cooler” is anything that is designed to insulate. Often the contents are fine as long as they are NOT in a cooler.

*Loose ice is prohibited because it is difficult to search. Ice packs ARE PERMITTED.

*Non-alcoholic beverages (liquid or frozen) ARE PERMITTED in small clear plastic containers such as water bottles or sports drink bottles.

*Food IS ALLOWED, but it must be wrapped in clear wrapping and not in a cooler.

*Chairs, strollers, cameras, blankets and handheld umbrellas ARE PERMITTED. Handheld umbrellas ARE PERMITTED     ONLY in the General admission area.

*Wagons ARE PERMITTED. The contents of the wagon are subject to search.

*Aerosol sunscreen in TSA sizes (3.4 oz or 100 milliliters) IS PERMITTED.

THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION IS TO ASSIST YOUR PLANNING AND PREPARATION FOR YOUR DAY(S) AT THIS EVENT:

FACILITY:

The Salute to Veterans WWII Reenactments & Airshows venue is a LARGE temporary facility, created for two days a year from runways, taxiways and grass medians of Elkhart Municipal Airport. The entire parking area is a large, open, grassy field. Much of the ground is uneven.

MOBILITY IMPAIRED:

WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO BRING A WHEELCHAIR IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE WALKING LONG DISTANCES (Bicycles are not permitted).

The Salute to Veterans WWII Reenactments & Airshows grounds are approximately 4,500 ft in length x 200 ft deep. This area allows accommodation of spectators and display aircraft in a large festival atmosphere. Due to spectator congestion and the number of aircraft and displays, a patron shuttle service is not available inside the spectator area.

 

BATHROOMS:

Handicapped toilets are available and are typically found at the end of large “banks” of portable toilets.

 

EQUIPMENT:

Salute to Veterans WWII Reenactments & Airshows DOES NOT have scooters or wheelchairs available for rent. If you have difficulty walking long distances PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WHEELCHAIR. (Bicycles are NOT permitted).

 

SHUTTLES:

We do NOT have a shuttle service inside the Spectator Area. If you have difficulty walking long distances PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WHEELCHAIR.

 

HEARING IMPAIRED:

The large dimension of the Airshow spectator area makes it unsuitable for signing. However, a significant amount of performer information used during narration is available on this website by linking to specific performers.

 

SIGHT IMPAIRED:

Seeing eye dogs ARE permitted at the Airshow.

Salute to Veterans WWII Reenactments & Airshows will only permit the entry of small coolers carrying life-saving medicines or formula bottles for young infants.

Salute to Veterans WWII Reenactments & Airshows, aka, Elkhart Festivals Inc, is a financially self-sufficient nonprofit organization. Ticket sales directly support event production cost for Salute to Veterans WWII Reenactments & Airshows.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

TICKET/CREDENTIAL IS A REVOCABLE LICENSE – USER ACCEPTS RISK OF INJURY

By use of the ticket/credential, the ticket/credential holder (“Holder”) agrees that:

  1. A) Holder shall not transmit or aid in transmitting any information about Salute to Veterans WWI Reenactments & Airshows (hereinafter “SALUTE”), including, but not limited to, any account, description, picture, video, audio, reproduction, or other information (hereinafter “RECORDINGS”) concerning SALUTE. SALUTE realizes that the taking and making of RECORDINGS allows attendees to capture the unique experience of attending SALUTE and provides them with a personal record of such experience. To that end, attendees may make RECORDINGS for their personal use and enjoyment only.
  2. B) SALUTE owns all trademarks, copyrights, and other proprietary rights connected to SALUTE and retains all worldwide rights. Any broadcast, rebroadcast, or publication of any accounts, pictures, or descriptions of SALUTE (excepting news broadcasts by legitimately accredited and credentialed news media) without the prior written consent of SALUTE is prohibited.
  3. C) SALUTE and each of its respective agents, employees, and contractors shall have the unrestricted right and license to use Holders image, likeness, name, voice, comments or other proprietary or public rights and that of any minor accompanying Holder in any broadcast, telecast, photograph, video and/or audio sound recording taken in connection with SALUTE or other transmission or reproduction of SALUTE in whole or in part, for all purposes, without compensation of any kind whatsoever.
  4. D) Holder shall adhere to any additional SALUTE rules or regulations that apply.

 

The Holder, on behalf of himself or herself, and on behalf of any minor accompanying Holder to SALUTE:

  1. A) Voluntarily assumes all risks incidental to attending SALUTE including without limitation the risk of lost, stolen or damaged property, or personal injury.
  2. B) Waives, releases, and discharges the City of Elkhart, Elkhart Municipal Airport, Elkhart Festivals Inc, and their respective members, shareholders, trustees, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, and agents (collectively the “Indemnitees”) from any and all negligence and liability for Holder’s death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or claims of any nature which may accrue to Holder as a direct or indirect result of Holder attending SALUTE.
  3. C) Agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Indemnitees from and against any and all claims, suits, damages, and liabilities of any nature including all costs, expenses, and attorneys’ fees, which in any manner result from Holder’s attendance or actions during SALUTE.

SALUTE may revoke the ticket/credential license and eject or refuse entry to the Holder for violation of venue rules, illegal activity, misconduct, or failure to comply with any and all security measures without refund of the ticket price or any portion thereof. Holder agrees to comply with SALUTE entry restrictions. Holder consents to reasonable examinations and searches to ensure compliance with laws and SALUTE rules. Holder acknowledges that illegal substances are not permitted on SALUTE PREMISES.

Holder voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the purchase of this ticket/credential from anyone other than SALUTE or its designated agents. The ticket/credential may not be used for advertising, promotion (including contests or sweepstakes), or other trade or commercial purposes without the prior written consent of SALUTE.
